| “ | I know I'm a big klutz, but I take pride in working as hard as I can to serve others. | ” | — Felicia, to Corrin. |
|---|
Felicia (Japanese: フェリシア Felicia) is a playable character in Fire Emblem Fates. She is Flora's younger twin sister and a maid who cares for Corrin during their residence at the Kingdom of Nohr. A hard-worker who puts on a brave face, but a careless person covered in failure. She is an ally regardless of Corrin's chosen camp.[2]
Biography
Felicia is a maid working for Corrin, serving their every need in the Kingdom of Nohr. She is also the younger twin sister of Flora and the youngest daughter of the Ice Tribe's chieftain, Kilma. Naturally, Felicia has some control over ice, but is not quite as proficient as Flora. However, her fighting skills are superior to her older sister's.

Starting stats and growth rates
For experience calculation purposes, Felicia's level is identical to its current value (compared to being 15–20 higher than displayed for a unit promoted at level 10–20).

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Felicia is a starting Maid in Fates. Her stats are strange for a prepromote, since they resemble what would ordinarily be seen on earlygame non-promoted units. However, Felicia has four Eternal Seals built into her from the start, which allows her to gain more levels without needing Eternal Seals at first. Felicia's good stats are magic, speed, luck, and Resistance; her poor strength base and growth mean that her daggers and shuriken will grow to be exclusively utilized to provide debuffs, as their damage output becomes minimal over time. Likewise, her defense is awful, with a base value of 5 and a 20% growth. However, her resistance is great, with a decent base and growth paired with Resistance +2 as a starting skill. Felicia's personal skill, Devoted Partner, boosts Corrin's damage by 2 and reduces their damage taken by 2 when supporting them in Pair Up or Tag Team. Male Corrin will benefit more from Felicia's personal, as her starting skill of Demoiselle further reduces any damage he takes by 2. If using male Corrin, Felicia starts with a D-rank in both staves and daggers, but will quickly rise through both ranks in the earlygame as the first character with healing and debuffing utility. Compared to Jakob as female Corrin's starting retainer, Felicia will deal less damage, but provide more potent healing.
Felicia's starting class, Maid, makes her more than serviceable as a healer and debuffer; her low damage even helps her set up kills to feed other units more experience, although it comes at the cost of Felicia struggling to gain experience through her own kills. To make up for this, Felicia's Plate and the Flame Shuriken are magical dagger weapons that will allow her to deal higher damage while still providing debuff utility if needed. She will quickly learn Live to Serve to heal herself while healing her allies, somewhat offsetting her poor durability. Tomebreaker is incredibly useful, as it grants Felicia 50 Hit and Avoid when fighting enemies with tomes; this further helps alleviate her low bulk, even with her potent Resistance. In fact, since Felicia is so quick to obtain Tomebreaker, she will be able to pass it on to a child unit much more readily than anyone else. While Felcia is overall serviceable in Maid in all routes, Birthright and Revelation offer three units that have a higher likelihood of being the player's dedicated shurikens users, being Kaze, Saizo, and Kagero. Conquest is the only route that has less dedicated shuriken users without reclassing, being Kaze, or Jakob if he remains a Butler. With all that said, Strategist may prove to be a better long-term option with its higher movement and access to tomes for consistent and more varied magical damage. Relative to Maid, Strategist exacerbates her already bad physical durability, reduces her overall accuracy and strips her of any debuffing utility; in exchange, it provides her with higher magical damage and bulk. If reclassed, the skills Rally Resistance and Inspiration further lean into Felicia's already good supportive capabilities.
Felicia can reclass to the Mercenary class tree, meaning she may reclass to Hero or Bow Knight as a prepromote. Felicia's physical combat tends to be severely lacking, and neither class will elevate her physical prowess to the point of competence without further investment. Whichever class Felicia chooses, she will learn Mercenary's skills of Good Fortune and Strong Riposte. Good Fortune could be helpful, as it may heal 20% of her maximum HP at the start of the turn; Felicia's generally high Luck means it may proc somewhat reliably, but it cannot be relied on to save her. Strong Riposte provides her with +3 damage on enemy phase, although Felicia's poor durability leaves the skill rather risky to use. As a Hero, she will learn Sol for self-healing during combat, but Felicia's middling Skill leaves it unreliable. Axebreaker, however, grants her 50 Hit and Avoid against axes and clubs; this helps her better deal with her weapon-triangle disadvantage if she is to stay as a Maid in the long run. As a Bow Knight, Felicia will learn Rally Skill, which complements her supportive slant, as well as Shurikenbreaker for a greater advantage against daggers and shuriken. This skill will be at its most useful in Conquest on Lunatic difficulty, where its many shuriken-wielding Master Ninjas and Maids pack the deadly Inevitable End skill; while worthwhile, it is quite challenging to acquire given Felicia's aforementioned physical woes.
The majority of Felicia's Friendship Seal options are rather difficult to use well unless they are solely pair up backpacks, and will require heavy investment to utilize the classes they pass. Hana is mostly a speed backpack, giving +6 speed as a Swordmaster. Master of Arms reduces the speed bonus to 3, but gives +3 skill and +2 defense. She gives Felicia access to the Samurai class tree. Peri is a bulk pair up, giving +2 defense and +3 resistance as a Paladin, or +4 defense and +1 resistance as a Great Knight. She provides Felicia with the Cavalier line. Felicia will face significant issues employing either class tree given her poor physical prowess; she will need Arms Scrolls in order to utilize the Levin Sword, Bolt Naginata, or Bolt Axe to fight optimally in either class tree. However, her best Friendship Seal option is her sister Flora. Flora provides well rounded pair up bonuses at base, being +2 magic; +1 skill, defense, and resistance; and +3 speed and luck as her base Maid. She brings with her the Dark Mage line, which perfectly complements Felicia's significantly better magical prowess. Heartseeker and Malefic Aura aid her utility in combat by alleviating her middling Skill and slightly increasing her own and allies' magical damage in range. Between the two promotions, Sorcerer turns Felicia into a purely magical attacker with its elevated magic and resistance, although her other stats will suffer in exchange. Vengeance may even complement Felicia's poor bulk, as she will deal substantial damage with it after incurring a heavy hit prior. Bowbreaker improves Felicia's matchup against bows and yumi with its extra 50 hit and avoid against them, providing yet another way to help her avoid taking damage at all. Dark Knight improves Felicia's bulk significantly more than Maid does, on top of increasing her strength and magic, but reduces her skill and speed quite noticeably. Felicia's magic is not too high to the point where she is incapable of utilizing Seal Magic, whereas Lifetaker allows her to restore her own health with player-phase kills.
