Role

Takumi: Wild Card, based on Takumi's appearance in Fire Emblem Fates, was one of the first characters available to be summoned by players from the game's initial launch. A 4★ version is automatically obtained at the start of Preface: Part 2 since the 2.5.0 Update on May 9, 2018. He was the first Hero to come with Close Counter. His personal weapon is Fujin Yumi, which was able to be refined after the 2.0.0 Update on November 28, 2017. He became a Resplendent Hero with an outfit based on Hel on October 10, 2020.

Takumi is fought during Book I, Chapter 6, in Part 1 and Part 2. He features in the Tactics Drills ten times, used during the following chapters:

Takumi was a featured Hero in three Voting Gauntlets. The first, Short-Haired Ladies vs. Long-Haired Gents, began on November 6, 2017, during which he lost in the Final Round to Shanna: Sprightly Flier. The second, Shadow in the Mirror, began on March 2, 2018, during which he lost in Round 2 to Celica: Imprisoned Soul. The third, Wrath of Winds, began on September 28, 2023, during which he lost in Round 1 to Claude: Golden Breeze.

Takumi is a featured Hero for one Bound Hero Battle, Takumi & Hinoka, which was first made available on November 16, 2017 and features him alongside Hinoka: Warrior Princess. He also appeared as the boss of Floors 56-60 of the Tap Battle event Illusory Dungeon: Kingdom of Hoshido, which ran from December 14, 2018 – January 10, 2019 and reran from May 12, 2022 – May 26, 2022. He was also a featured Hero during the twenty-eighth Grand Conquests, which ran from October 12, 2021 – October 18, 2021, where he led the green army against Hinoka: Warrior Princess and Sakura: Loving Priestess.

A 4★ version of Takumi: Wild Card was handed out to players who started playing prior to the 2.5.0 Update as part of the Thanks for Playing Gift from May 9, 2018 onward, to compensate for these players not being able to obtain the newly added free 4★ version from the Preface.

Takumi is fought during Paralogue 17, in Part 1 and Part 3. He features in the Tactics Drills once, used during Grandmaster 127. He also appears during story sequences in the Tempest Trials Mini event Stepping into the New Year. Additionally, he was a featured Hero in two Voting Gauntlets. The first, Winter Festival vs. New Year's, began on January 1, 2018, during which he lost in Round 1 to Ryoma: Peerless Samurai. The second, New Year's Showdown, began on January 3, 2019, during which he lost in Round 1 to Gunnthrá: Year's First Dream.

Takumi: Empty Vessel, based on Takumi's appearance while under Anankos's control in the Endgame of Conquest, was first made available from February 24, 2018 – March 8, 2018 as part of the eponymous Grand Hero Battle, Takumi: Empty Vessel. His personal weapon is Skadi, which was able to be refined after the 5.6.0 Update on June 6, 2021. He is able to be summoned using Heroic Grails since the 2.11.0 Update on November 7, 2018.

Takumi is not fought during the Main Story or any Paralogues. He features in the Tactics Drills twice, used during Skill Studies 8 and Grandmaster 145.

Takumi was a featured Hero in two Voting Gauntlets. The first, Shadow in the Mirror, began on March 2, 2018, during which he lost in Round 1 to Takumi: Wild Card. The second, Brave Reprisals, began on September 1, 2020, during which he lost in Round 1 to Claude: Almyra's King. He also appeared as the boss of Extra Stage 1 of the Tap Battle event Illusory Dungeon: Kingdom of Hoshido, which ran from December 14, 2018 – January 10, 2019 and reran from May 12, 2022 – May 26, 2022. Additionally, he served as the enemy commander during Mjölnir's Strike during event 17 (April 28, 2020 – April 30, 2020), event 65 (May 24, 2021 – May 27, 2021), and event 138 (November 20, 2023 – November 23, 2023).

Takumi was the focus of the Grand Hero Battles quests running from August 6, 2018 – August 13, 2018, during which a 3★ version was given out as a quest reward. He was also the focus of two Grand Hero Party Quests. The first, running from August 6, 2019 – August 7, 2019, gave out a 4★ version as a quest reward. The second, running on February 6, 2022, instead gave out a 5★ version as a quest reward.

Takumi: Wild Card
Takumi is the second prince of Hoshido. He's a trustworthy warrior who keeps his foes at bay with the divine bow Fujin Yumi! Don't tell anyone I said this, but I hear Takumi can be really prickly and difficult at times. In fact, when Corrin returned from Nohr at long last, Takumi was sullen at first, and refused to open up to his long-lost sibling. But that's beside the point! Takumi is served by two retainers. There's Hinata, the rough-and-tumble samurai, and Oboro, a fierce fighter known for making scary demon faces...don't tell anyone I said that either. Both are loyal servants as well as reliable Heroes! Takumi claims that his skill with a bow comes from Fujin Yumi's power, but the truth is that he's worked hard to protect his brothers and sisters. I hope he puts that effort toward looking out for the Order of Heroes as well!

Takumi: Prince of Soup
Takumi, second prince of Hoshido, is here to share his greetings for the New Year, complete with a special celebratory outfit! This kimono is considered traditional attire back in his kingdom of Hoshido. The white-and-red decorations in his hair are called shide, and they're supposed to ward off evil! In his left hand, he's carrying kagami mochi, which are supposed to bring good fortune. But not for his foes, because he can whip out the round mochi inside and throw it like a dagger! Hoshidan culture really is unique. I'd love to spend the New Year munching on mochi with all my friends!

Takumi is the younger prince of Hoshido, and he's here for a summer vacation at the beach to ease some of his day-to-day stress! I hear that his retainer Oboro picked out this fabulous swimsuit he's wearing. That bandage wrapped around his wrist makes him look very sporty! For this outing, Takumi's bow and arrows are adorned appropriately with maritime motifs. His bow looks like a cresting wave, while the arrowheads look like cute little fish with fletchings resembling anemones! Takumi says he's finding the tropical island stay motivating. He spent his time in the summer sun with a smile!
