Sharena (pronounced /⁠ʃəˈreɪnə⁠/^[key]; Japanese: シャロン Sharon) is a princess of the Kingdom of Askr, and a member of the Order of Heroes. She seeks to protect her kingdom against the Emblian Empire. Along with her brother, Alfonse, she is commanded by Anna, the leader of the Order of Heroes.

Sharena is the daughter of Gustav and Henriette, making her princess of Askr and younger sister of Alfonse.

When she was a child, Sharena frequently visited Ljósálfheimr, the realm of good dreams. There, she met Peony, a child her age. The two became great friends within their dreams. Because of their great resemblance to one another, the two would swap clothes in their dreams, and even sometimes switched places when waking up. When Ljósálfheimr was threatened by the realm of nothingness and Ginnungagap, Sharena and Peony were both recruited by the king of Ljósálfheimr, Freyr, to become the realm of dream's pure hearted champions and fight off the nothingness. To become those champions, the five chosen children were offered dream nectar, which would transform them into Álfr. However, those who become Álfr would forget their pasts, and become unable to return to the realm of mortals.

Though the other four children came from abusive homes, Sharena, as princess of Askr, could not bear this price, and refused the dream nectar. As a result, she forgot her time in Ljósálfheimr just like Peony, now an Álfr, forgot her. Although Sharena and Peony's penchant to switch places makes it ambiguous which of them ultimately took the dream nectar, and which of them truly returned to Askr as Sharena.

Some time later, Sharena joined the Order of Heroes alongside her brother.

There are five variations of Sharena available in Heroes. The normal variation of Sharena is one of the characters available from the game's initial launch; prior to version 2.5.0, the normal variation of Sharena began the game as a two-star unit, whereas players who first begin the game after the release of version 2.5.0 have her begin the game as a four-star unit instead. A spring variation of Sharena was made available between the period of March 22, 2018 through April 22, 2018 as part of the summoning event surrounding the Hares at the Fair update. A bride variation of Sharena—a duo hero with Veronica—was added on May 20, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to June 19, 2024.

She was the first Hero to come with Atk/Spd Aria and Spd/Res Shackle. Her personal weapon is Glaðsbók, and her personal skill is Just like Mother.

Sharena is fought during Book IX, Chapter 10, in Part 2 and Part 5. She features in the Tactics Drills once, used during Skill Studies 284. She also features in the Shining Resolve Forging Bonds event, alongside Byleth: Anchor of Hope, Eikþyrnir: Resolved to Train, and Baldr: Rays of Judgment, granting the Askran Tiara and Askran Tiara EX. Additionally, she was a featured Hero in two Voting Gauntlets. The first, Be Brave, Great Hero!, began on August 30, 2025, during which she lost in Round 1 to Alfonse: Heir to Openness. But my foes know me as War-Princess Sharena, the battlefield blossom who leaves her foes quaking in their boots! Or, um, whatever footwear they have! And if they're barefoot, um...I'm workshopping it, OK? All right, so maybe I have a bit of catching up to do if I want to be like Commander Anna and Alfonse. But trust me, I've been out there every day training with my trusty lance, Fensalir! Ta-da! The one and only princess of Askr is here to join the spring festival celebration—and I'm wearing a special outfit of my own! In true spring-festival style, this outfit has a bunny theme—pretty cute, if I say so myself. Not only does it have a bunny-ear headband, but it's also decorated with daisies! And check out the weapon I brought! It's designed to look just like a festive spring egg. Look closer, and you'll see it's decorated with Askran-style gold embellishments! A wise commander once said: if the festival's a battlefield, then having fun is the way to victory. On that note, it's time for Askr's princess to lead the charge! Hop to it, bunnies!

To perfect the look, I added a hat with a wide brim and a tie-front top! See, I know a thing or two about putting together an outfit too! I also brought some grilled veggies and seafood on a skewer! Not only does this delish-kabob make for a seaside feast, but it can also double as a weapon in case hunger pangs aren’t the only thing I need to fend off! There’s nothing quite like cooking up some seaside food with all your friends at the beach. Well, the grill isn’t going anywhere, so take your time having fun eating and hanging out together!
