Wild Edge is a variant of Gigant Edge who appears as a mid-boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land and its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. They resemble their normal counterpart, but with war paint on their armor and a fur collar around their neck. They also wield a stone sword and a spiky riot shield. The Gigant Sword ability is based on Wild Edge.

In the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition's Star-Crossed World story and in The Ultimate Cup Z EX, Gigant Edge gets powered up from the meteor shower's influence and has various crystals on their armor while also being lighter-colored than usual; this particular form is named Crystal Wild Edge. Crystal Wild Edge's EX figure description notably refers to them with masculine "he/him" pronouns, which contrasts with the gender-neutral "they/them" pronouns used in Wild Edge's figure description and a Play Nintendo playthrough.

横ぎり Horizontal Slash	Wild Edge performs a big lateral swing with their sword. Two Dropped Stars are produced after the slash. This attack is not used at all when fought in the Downtown Grassland stage.	They may swing twice or three times in a row instead of once, while Crystal Wild Edge can additionally swing four times in a row in the second phase. Crystal Wild Edge can sometimes alternate between doing Horizontal Slashes and Overhead Slashes if doing at least two in a row.
スパイクシールド Spike Shield	Wild Edge brings up their shield and raises their defenses. Attacks from the front will do nothing, but if hit from behind, they will be stunned for a moment and take 2.0× damage, leaving two Dropped Stars as well. Stunning them during Phase 1 may enable Kirby to defeat them without activating Phase 2.		This attack is never used by the tougher version or by Crystal Wild Edge.
たてぎり Overhead Slash	Wild Edge performs a large vertical slash with their sword which hits the ground, creating two Dropped Stars.	They may swing twice or three times in a row instead of once, while Crystal Wild Edge can additionally swing four times in a row in the second phase. Crystal Wild Edge can sometimes alternate between doing Overhead Slashes and Horizontal Slashes if doing at least two in a row.
カウンターシールド Counter Shield	Wild Edge brings up their shield and raises their defenses. Attacks from the front will have the shield's spikes temporarily extend to damage Kirby, but if hit from behind, Wild Edge will be stunned for a moment and take 2.0× damage, leaving two Dropped Stars as well. Stunning them during Phase 1 may enable Kirby to defeat them without activating Phase 2. Unlike their regular version's Spike Shield, the shield is put out for a shorter duration.		This attack is only used by the tougher version and by Crystal Wild Edge.
Second phase only
突進 Rush	Wild Edge pulls out their sword and runs forward for a while. When they stop, they leave two Dropped Stars behind and stagger for a moment.		This attack is never used by the tougher version. Crystal Wild Edge can use this attack during the first phase.
シールドウォーク Shield Walk	Wild Edge brings up their shield and raises their defenses, while slowly moving towards Kirby. Attacks from the front will do nothing, but if hit from behind, they will be stunned for a moment and take 2.0× damage, leaving two Dropped Stars as well.		Attacks on the tougher version's shield will have the shield's spikes temporarily extend to damage Kirby. The tougher version and Crystal Wild Edge's shield is put out for a shorter duration and Wild Edge moves faster than they normally do. Crystal Wild Edge can also use this attack in the first phase.
チャージエッジ Charge Edge	Wild Edge takes a few steps back, charges their sword and performs an overhead slash that hits the ground, creating an explosion and leaving four Dropped Stars behind.		This attack is only used by the tougher version.
連続突進 Continuous Rush	Wild Edge pulls out their sword and runs forward for a while before turning around and trying to dash into Kirby once more. When they stop, they leave two Dropped Stars behind and stagger for a moment.	Crystal Wild Edge may turn around a second time after the second dash to charge at Kirby a third time.	This attack is only used by the tougher version and by Crystal Wild Edge.

Across all battles, Wild Edge enters Phase 2 when their HP is below 55%. They take 0.2× damage when roaring both at the start of the battle and at the start of phase 2.
