Collect Pieces[Japanese title] are items from Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World that can be found at various points in certain stages. They always come in collections of five, with each being found at different parts of an area, and together they form a star. After collecting all five pieces, something is triggered, often a gate opening, but the effects can vary. Collect Pieces can either be green or orange.
Collecting the first Collect Piece of a set will make a HUD element appear at the top of the screen that features icons for all five pieces. Collecting a piece will fill one of the icons, to help the player keep track of how many were collected. Once the fifth and last piece is collected, the screen freezes, the pieces join together and form a star, and the camera focuses on a spot of the stage and showcases what the collected pieces triggered.
