The Observation Tower is a location in Tomodachi Life. It is only present in the non-Japanese versions of the game, replacing the Roof. It is unlocked by leveling up a Mii for the first time and giving them a gift. The Observation Tower is the location of Quirky Questions, which takes the place of Word Chain in the international versions. It is one of only two locations to not be featured in the Japanese version of Tomodachi Life, the other being Nintendo 3DS Image Share.
The tower is a possible location for a Mii to confess their love, and Miis who are gifted a tennis racket, golf club, skateboard, or bubble blower will occasionally be found here with their respective gifts.
Quirky Questions
Quirky Questions is the only event that takes place at the Observation Tower. This event is unlocked by having at least 10 islanders, and having at least 20 problems solved.
In Quirky Questions, a group of six random Miis will stand on a podium in front of a single random Mii. The single Mii will proceed to ask three questions; these questions are each chosen from a set of three, and can be altered by the player. Each set of questions has some words prewritten with spots for the player to fill in and create the question.
Once the Mii asks a question, they will raise their hand and a random number of Miis will follow suit. Miis can either raise their hand, turn to their neighboring Mii in shock if they raised their hand, or jump up with their hand raised at varying speeds.
After the three questions are answered, the single Mii will thank the others and the event will end.
As a confession location
Miis can choose to confess their love to another Mii at the Observation Tower. When confessing, the Mii being confessed to walks towards the other Mii standing near the chain link fence. If a Mii interrupts the confession, the door to the tower will be open before a Mii slams the door shut and runs towards the other Miis. If a second Mii interrupts the confession, they will appear resting on one of the benches nearby and sit up, jumping off of the bench to run towards the other Miis.
