Torch (Japanese: トーチ Torch), known as Illume in Engage, is a support staff which was introduced in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. Its function is to assist when fighting under fog of war conditions by expanding the field of sight available to the player, allowing them to see further through the darkness/fog than they normally could. As a result, it is only available in games which feature fog of war. It is a staff counterpart to the more common Torch item, which performs a similar function. In most games, it increases the user's vision range, while in The Blazing Blade and The Sacred Stones, it illuminates a specified tile on the map.
