Tempest Blade

The Tempest Blade (Japanese: 旋風の剣 Whirlwind Sword) is a sword appearing exclusively in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. It is an enhanced-range weapon that is capable of attacking foes at 2 range, rather than being locked to the standard melee range of most other swords, and is the strongest of Radiant Dawn's ranged swords that are neither personal nor sacred. Although it hurls a blast of wind to attack at range, it is not actually a magic sword in that it does not use the user's magic stat or target the enemy's resistance, but sticks with strength and defense. Although powerful, it is also heavy and its accuracy leaves something to be desired.

Trivia
- Like most other ranged swords in Radiant Dawn, the Tempest Blade's help description falsely implies that it is a magic sword that casts wind magic. Its ranged attacks count as physical sword damage, not magical wind damage.
