This Privacy Policy explains how DevShed Labs LLC ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Coder IDE and the coderide.dev website. The short version: Coder is a desktop application designed to keep your code on your machine, and we do not sell your data.
1. Information We Collect
a. Local data (stays on your device)
Coder stores your projects, chat sessions, project memory, settings, API keys, token logs, and reports locally on your own computer. This data is not uploaded to us and we do not have access to it.
b. Information you send to model providers
Coder is bring-your-own-key. When you use the built-in AI features, your prompts, files, and context are sent directly to the model provider you configured — with your API key — under that provider's terms and privacy policy, not ours. We do not see or store this traffic.
c. Website data
When you visit coderide.dev, we and our hosting/analytics providers may collect basic usage information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring links. You can opt out of analytics cookies in your browser settings.
d. Information you send to us directly
If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we collect the information you choose to provide — such as your name, email address, and message — so we can respond.
