The main mineralization alteration assemblage in the La Farola deposit predominantly features specular hematite instead of magnetite. The Upper Andesite at the La Farola deposit has a thickness of over 700 m and its lower contact has not been yet intercepted by drill core. The dip direction varies locally from 12°–22° N to NNE at the western end and center of the deposit to 10°–25° NW towards the eastern side of the deposit. Within the Upper Andesite, (meta-)volcanic rocks include porphyritic andesites with 1–3 mm plagioclase and 1–6 mm amphibole phenocrysts, porphyritic andesites with textures with dominantly 1–4 mm plagioclase phenocrysts, and tuffs.
