Overview:
A partial conversion mod for Heretic (specifically the GZDoom/UZDoom family of sourceports), Spake puts the player in the shoes of the Archivist, the protagonist from Cede and Cede II, who has been awakened into a new, unfamiliar world at the behest of a voice claiming to be the Almighty.
The mod progresses more akin to Strife and/or Hexen with voiced dialogue and the use of advanced engine features to make environments feel connected rather than a simple set of levels.
This is, without a doubt, the most ambitious project I've undertaken to date.
As a slight aside, this mod is also partially a fanwork of Vitaly S. Alexius's Romantically Apocalyptic and takes place within the Omniverse. This is not in any capacity an officially endorsed or canon project.

What is this?
Spake is a narrative-driven partial conversion mod for Heretic that is currently in development for the GZDoom/UZDoom family of sourceports. Storywise, it acts as a sequel to Cede I & II and Hiraeth.

Archivist, you are called forth from your timeless slumber into a new world. A voice calls to to you. It claims to be the Almighty.

Man has rejected Him and prostrates himself before idols and false gods. He calls upon you to affect judgement upon this world, to destroy the refusers and topple the pillars upon which their idols stand.

Take up now thy crossbow, thy phoenix rod, thy dragon's claw. Take up thy arms and destroy.
The demo for Spake can be found here.
A demo release of Spake containing Chapters 1 and 2. Unzip and run the .pk3 file with a modern version of GZDoom (v4.14+) or UZDoom and the Heretic iwad.
