Bicycles@lemmy.ca•What would you look for in a used bike when spending USD$150 / CAD$200?
1·6 days agoSome bike shops sell trade-ins. It might be at the high end of your budget, but someone will have gone over it to make sure it’s in working condition.
I will go with 5, only because hoods always flop into my eyes just like that.

WomensStuff@piefed.blahaj.zone•Are you a "keep the box" person or a "throw the box away" person?English
3·6 days agoI tend to toss the box, at least after the store return period ends. My partner keeps them. We still have boxes for appliances that have been gone for years.
I don’t see anything when I click on it.

Do not carry grocery bags from your handlebars. I did that when I was a teenager and now I have bridgework where my upper front teeth once were.

WomensStuff@piefed.blahaj.zone•Monday motivation... what are you going to achieve this week?English
3·19 days agoI finally got around to changing a worn out wiper blade on Sunday morning. This morning I tried using the new one and it was leaving streaks everywhere, worse than the old blade. So I pulled into the parking lot of the shop it came from, yanked it off… and then realized that I forgot to remove the clear plastic protector. Yeah, I’m an idiot. 😄

Saskatoon@lemmy.ca•Weapons, physical violence still impacting Saskatchewan hospitalsEnglish1·24 days agoThe screening is a bit hit or miss. My partner had to go to emergency at RUH a few weeks back and I was merely asked if I was carrying anything sharp. When I left there were people coming in and they had to run their possessions through the x-ray machine.

I will get back to the outside work that was interrupted by a massive dump of snow on Friday. I have cleaned my dryer vent cap and got the flapper working again, now I will make a hinged wired cover from some hardware cloth that a kind person on the local Freecycle group gave me. Just have to figure out the best way to attach it.
