A monthly active user represents any Privy-authenticated user with at least one active session in the last 30 days. That user can connect as many times as they want, with any number of wallets and identifiers.

When you're on a paid tier, and you reach the MAU limit, we'll automatically upgrade you to the next plan and start billing you the following month. We'll notify you in the dashboard and via email when you're approaching and exceeding your limit. You can cancel your plan at any time.

When you cancel your subscription, you lose feature access and support beyond 500 MAUs. If your app has already reached 500 MAUs, new users will no longer be able to sign up. If you have any questions about your plan, please contact [email protected].

A monthly signature represents any cryptographic signature request from a Privy embedded wallet in the last 30 days. This includes, but is not limited to, signature endpoints such as: eth_sendTransaction; personal_sign; eth_signTransaction; eth_signTypedData_v4; csw_signUserOperation; eth_signUserOperation; Secp256k1_sign; eth_sign7702Authorization; signMessage; signTransaction; signAndSendTransaction; signMessageWithIdentityKey; raw_sign.

Regardless of what plan you are on, you can scale your user base and usage with peace of mind. Privy offers different tiers of pricing as your usage grows. If your usage exceeds 10,000 MAU or 50,000 signatures in a given month, pay-as-you-go pricing for additional usage will apply: a volume PAYG base fee of $2,000; $0.05 per MAU above 10,000 MAUs; and $0.01 per signature above 50,000 signatures. If you anticipate sustained PAYG volume over multiple months, reach out to [email protected] to explore a custom Enterprise plan, which is typically cheaper and more predictable than monthly PAYG pricing.

Privy recommends turning on invisible CAPTCHA from your Privy dashboard to minimize botting susceptibility. Privy offers both hCaptcha with configurable risk thresholds and Turnstile-based CAPTCHA. For email or phone authentication, Privy recommends enabling settings in the Privy dashboard to block VoIP phone numbers, disallow email addresses containing "+", and block known temporary email domains.
