What is the difference between the paid and free plans?
Both publish the same profile at the same URL, on the same template that every existing listing uses. The paid plan is a listing fee - it covers the verification and writing work and moves your submission to the front of the queue (three working days rather than ten). The free plan asks you to add a small backlink to us in return. Neither plan influences ranking, the verdict, or the "not recommended for" section.
Does paying buy me a better verdict or ranking?
No, and this is a promise built into how the site works. Ranking in the "Best of" guides is computed from the profile fields, and the rubric is published at /methodology/. If we published a paid listing whose scores did not match its verdict, our own audit script would catch it before deploy. Paying gets a profile made. It never gets a better one.
Does submitting guarantee a listing?
Yes on the paid plan, once your product meets a very short bar: a live public website, a public pricing page (or an honest "contact for pricing" line), and enough public evidence to fact-check the claims you make. Nothing beyond that. On the free plan we also try to publish everything that clears the bar, but the free queue is human-paced and slower.
How long does it take?
Paid: reviewed and published within three working days of payment, or you get a full refund. Free: reviewed within ten working days once the backlink is verified. Either way you get an email with the URL the moment it goes live.
Can I edit the profile after it publishes?
You can request corrections at any time - a price change, a new integration, a headcount update - and we will re-verify and update the page, on both plans. You cannot rewrite our assessment, remove the "not recommended for" section, or delete cons. That is what makes the profile worth reading.
Is the paid fee refundable?
Yes, in one case: if we cannot publish within three working days of payment clearing, the fee is refunded in full. It is otherwise non-refundable, because by the time the profile is live the work is already done. If you later want the profile removed, we remove it - the fee still stands.
Will you link back to my site?
Every published profile links to your site. Outbound product links are nofollowed by default across the whole publication - that is not a paid-plan penalty, it is site policy. We do not sell links, exchange links, or accept guest posts.
Can I submit an AI tool, or does it have to be SaaS?
Submit your AI tool the same way as anything else - AI is one category on this site beside Finance and HR, not a separate directory with a separate bar. A product also earns a place in the AI groupings where AI is its function rather than a feature it also ships, which is why tools that bolted an assistant onto an existing job keep their ordinary category. A product is filed here only where AI is its function rather than a feature it also ships. Tools that added AI to an existing job keep their ordinary category and appear in neither list.
Do you list desktop, self-hosted or one-time-licence software?
Yes. Submit your software whichever way it ships - a hosted subscription, a self-hosted deployment, a perpetual licence or a free tier with paid support. The profile records the licence model you actually sell, so a one-time price is published as a one-time price rather than divided into a monthly figure nobody can pay.
What if my company email is on a work-domain we do not control?
If you are a founder or employee on a Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 domain, that works. If you can only send from a free-mail address, email [email protected] from any address and mention the product - we verify identity another way and take it from there.
