The Commercial District is intended for retail and service uses that provide adequate off-street parking and unloading facilities, that need large areas for outdoor storage, and that serve the travelling public.

A. 
Permitted uses in C Commercial Districts are as follows:
1. 
Retail establishments which sell such goods as groceries, drugs, variety merchandise, dry goods, automobile parts, hardware, feed, poultry supplies, home building supply, farm equipment, marine equipment (boats, trailers, etc.), etc.
2. 
Service establishments, including banks, barbershops, offices and public buildings.
3. 
Eating establishments (cafes, restaurants).
4. 
Offices for professional and service people, including doctors, dentists, lawyers, realtors, radio and television service and repair.
5. 
Drive-in banks, savings and loan associations, etc.
6. 
Dry-cleaning and laundry establishments.
7. 
Automotive service stations.
8. 
Automotive repairs and sales (new and used).
9. 
Warehousing — commercial.
10. 
Commercial recreation, as bowling alleys, golf driving ranges, drive-in theaters, skating rinks, etc.
11. 
Automotive laundries (unattended).
12. 
Funeral homes.
13. 
Motels and motor hotels.
14. 
Places of public assembly.
15. 
Printing offices and plants.

A. 
The area requirements for C Commercial Districts are as follows:
1. 
Minimum yard (in feet):
a. 
Front: fifty (50) or conform with existing structure.
b. 
Side — street (corner lot): ten (10).
c. 
Rear (from property line or center of alley if one exists): fifteen (15).
2. 
On-lot parking:
a. 
Motels, hotels (parking space per sleep unit): one (1).
b. 
Places of public assembly (space per seating capacity): one for five (1:5).
3. 
Minimum height:
a. 
Stories: two (2).
b. 
Not to exceed (in feet): thirty-six (36).
4. 
On-lot parking spaces shall be provided for employees and customers.
5. 
When a commercial zoning district abuts a residential zoning district, an abutting yard of twenty-five (25) feet is required.
6. 
If any existing structure would be destroyed, it may be rebuilt to original specifications.
