A.
The Borough of Masontown shall enter into an intergovernmental police cooperation agreement ("agreement") with the City of Uniontown, City of Connellsville and German Township, under the terms of which the police officers of each municipality are granted authority to officially act as police officers of the other municipalities, subject to the terms of the agreement, when performing duties in the other municipalities, establishing procedures for the police department of each municipality to render aid and assistance to one another, such agreement to conform substantially to the agreement attached to and made a part of this ordinance as Exhibit A.[1]

B.
Further, the police officers of each municipality shall enter into a cooperation agreement with the Fayette County District Attorney's office, the terms of which shall provide that said police officers may be deputized as Special County Detectives and granted authority to officially act as police officers throughout the county.
C.
Further, the police officers of each municipality shall enter into a cooperation agreement with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office, the terms of which shall provide that said police officers may be deputized as special agents for the Bureau of Narcotic Investigation and Drug Control and shall have statewide jurisdiction to officially act as police officers through the state.
D.
It is further provided that any other municipal, county or state agency may, upon mutual consent, enter into this cooperation agreement at a later date and time.
