Chapter 52 Town Justice

[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Hague 4-10-1979. Amendments noted where applicable.]

The number of Town Justices of the Town of Hague is hereby reduced from two to one.

The Office of the incumbent Town Justice shall continue until expiration of its term on December 31, 1979.

At the biennial town election to be held in November of 1981, and subsequent elections thereafter, only one Town Justice shall be elected for the Town of Hague.

§ 52-4 Permissive referendum.

This chapter is subject to a permissive referendum in accordance with Article 7 of the Town Law of the State of New York and shall take effect as provided in § 91 of such Town Law.[1]
