Fire crews continue to engage in initial attack as widespread lightning has added new fire starts across the Northwest, Intermountain West & into the South. Large-fire activity remains concentrated in the Northwest & has increased in the Great Basin, particularly in northern NV.

A large airtanker performs a precision drop on the Timber Fire in Southern California. The Timber fire is located on the @LosPadresNF, and it is approximately 18,000 acres and is 27% contained. Footage was captured by trained professionals, please do not attempt this yourself.
