"Level 8 Boss"[conjectural title] is a theme from Kirby's Adventure that plays during the battle against Nightmare's Power Orb form in the sky above Dream Land. It matches the brief and tense theme of the battle.

This theme is actually composed differently between Kirby's Adventure and Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. However, both share similar short drum-'n'-bass qualities and a barely-audible bassline.
The Adventure version begins with a thumping bass drum during the crescendo of a very low-pitched, unintelligible noise under a tense but simplistic melody, which wiggles between three semitones at a time. It shifts upward a full tone from C-flat to D-flat every four measures and back after another four, taking great care to not establish a proper key on either.
In Nightmare in Dream Land, the theme is composed with a similar idea, but is played in a different tone, falls first instead of rising, and has a discernible and audible bassline.
This theme plays during the aerial battle with the Nightmare Wizard's Power Orb, and can be found in the LISTEN TO SOUNDS menu as Track 39 (hexadecimal), or 57 (decimal).
Like Kirby's Adventure, this game's take on the theme is heard only during the battle with the Power Orb, as well as in the Sound Test as Track 22.
