Eve (alternatively EVE) is a robot created by George to assist Ninten in his journey during the events of EarthBound Beginnings. She is extremely powerful, and can defeat nearly any enemy in the game in a single hit, besides certain bosses. Eve may also be referred to as 'it' since she is occasionally referred to as such in supplemental material.

Role

After Lloyd fixes a boat in the lake on the base of Mt. Itoi, Ninten's party ride around in it and are sucked into a whirlpool in the center, eventually landing in a strange underwater lab. Traveling deeper in, they find Eve, who claims to have been created by George solely to protect Ninten. Ninten's party then begin traveling with Eve toward the top of Mt. Itoi, until a robot named R7038XX blocks the path, leading to a battle where both robots ultimately destroy each other. Alternatively, if the party instead try to head back down to the rest house, R7038XX will show up on the way and the two robots will still destroy each other, with Eve's body breaking down near the lake. After Eve is destroyed, her remains bear the seventh melody. In the Mother 1+2 version of Mother, Ninten will then obtain the Memory Chip, which will take the party back to the spot where Eve was destroyed upon use.

Status

Being a temporary party member, Eve has hidden stat values that can't be seen in-game.
