How to use VSCO Spaces

You’ll find Spaces in the bottom navigation menu on the VSCO app. In this tab you can access the spaces you have joined and create new spaces. Use the Browse tab to search and join Spaces that match your interests or explore our Featured Spaces that highlight VSCO creators, themes, events, and behind-the-scenes stories.

What are VSCO Spaces?

VSCO Spaces are collaborative photo groups where photographers can build shared galleries, connect with others, and engage in visual conversations around specific themes, styles, or projects. Contributors can post images, discuss work, and explore creative ideas together.

What are the most popular VSCO Spaces?

Popular VSCO Spaces include Magic In A Picture, Architecture, Daily Envisage, Cars + Casas, Naturemorte, Photographed. Developed. Published!, Take A Seat, Naturaleza, and Melanin Conversations.

New Spaces are created all the time, bringing creators together to share photos around common themes and interests. Browsing Spaces is an easy way to discover photography communities that care about the same things you do. VSCO also hosts photo walks and events, which are often paired with a Space where participants can share their photos.

Who can use VSCO Spaces?

Anyone on VSCO can create, join, and explore Spaces. Creating a new Space is available to all VSCO members—including Free, Plus, and Pro members. You can browse existing Spaces, follow communities, join conversations, and contribute when invited.

How do I create a Space?

Inside the VSCO mobile app, go to the Spaces tab and tap Create. Add a name and optional description, then invite collaborators. Once set up, you can start uploading images and building your shared photo group.

Can I share a Space with people who aren’t on VSCO?

Yes. You can generate a view-only link to share with anyone so they can see the group without contributing. Contributors must be invited and accepted before they can post or discuss.

How many people can be in a Space?

A Space can have up to 150 contributors. Space creators control who can join and contribute, helping keep collaboration focused while allowing room for larger creative communities.

How active are VSCO Spaces?

Activity in VSCO Spaces varies by community. Some Spaces are updated multiple times an hour, while others see new photos and conversations every few days. You can always browse and search for new Spaces by topic and when it was last updated to find communities that match your interests, and your preferred level of activity.

What privacy controls exist for Spaces?

Space owners can approve or deny contributor requests, remove contributors, moderate or delete posts and responses, and report inappropriate content. Private Spaces are only accessible via shared links; they aren’t searchable on VSCO or search engines.

Can I moderate discussions in my Space?

Yes. Space owners control discussion settings and can delete comments or responses that don’t align with the space’s creative focus or community guidelines.

How do VSCO Spaces differ from traditional social feeds?

Unlike platform feeds driven by algorithmic engagement, Spaces focus on visual collaboration and intentional creative exchange within a smaller community, without like counts or feed noise.

Are Spaces searchable on VSCO?

Public Spaces can be found in the Browse section in the VSCO app, where popular Spaces are highlighted and you can search directly for a Space. Private Spaces are not searchable—they are accessed only through direct links.
