Meet the team behind Lorenz Developments, a family-owned general contractor built on craftsmanship, honest communication and lasting relationships.

Serving the Sea to Sky Since 2005.

Lorenz Developments was founded by Jason and Shannon Lorenz. Long before he built homes, Jason was building bike trails and crafting furniture, discovering a passion for craftsmanship that would eventually lead him into construction.

Like many small businesses, Lorenz Developments began with one truck, one project and a lot of hard work. Jason drove from job site to job site building relationships and earning opportunities, while Shannon introduced the company the old-fashioned way by going door to door throughout Squamish with a stack of business cards.

Within a few years, Jason's reputation for quality workmanship, reliability and integrity had spread throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor and Lorenz Developments continued to grow.

Today, Lorenz Developments is a trusted general contracting company serving homeowners, businesses, strata corporations, and insurance partners across the Sea to Sky Corridor. From custom homes and renovations to commercial, strata, and restoration projects, our team remains committed to exceptional craftsmanship, honest communication and relationships built to last.

Jason Lorenz
Founder & General Contractor

Jason co-founded Lorenz Developments with Shannon in 2005, starting with one truck and a lot of hard work. Before construction, he spent his time designing bike trails and building furniture and that early hands-on craftsmanship is still the standard every project gets held to today.

He's been in construction for 30 years now, 21 of them running Lorenz Developments and he still leads planning and oversight on every project alongside a team of 20. He's a Licensed General Contractor and BC Housing Licensed Residential Builder, and the trades he works with are the same ones he's built relationships with for years, which is why clients always know who's showing up and what to expect.

Outside of work, Jason races with the Corsa Cycles / Dunbar Cycles Raceteam and spends most weekends on the trails throughout the Sea to Sky with his family.

Shannon Lorenz
Co-Founder & Director of Strategy

Shannon co-founded Lorenz Developments with Jason in 2005, going door to door through Squamish with a stack of business cards while he was out building the reputation one job site at a time. That combination is still how the company runs, his hands-on craftsmanship and her strategic eye for where the business is headed.

Growing up, she spent time on her grandfather's farm watching him build, fix and create, and that early exposure to craftsmanship stuck. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria and leads the long-term planning and growth strategy behind Lorenz Developments today.

Outside of work, Shannon is usually in the mountains with her family, hiking, biking or in the gym for strength training. She's also passionate about entrepreneurship, and spends time connecting with and supporting other women in business.
