About Jottit
Aaron Swartz and Simon Carstensen met through Y Combinator's first batch in 2005 and together built Infogami, a tool to make it easy to create websites. From that work came the original Jottit in 2007, a simple way for anyone to make a page on the web.
After Aaron's death in 2013, the original Jottit eventually went offline.
In 2026, Simon rebuilt it from scratch. Same idea, same name. You type, you publish, you have a page. No tracking, no followers, no algorithms. Just your words on a small site that is yours.
Jottit is open source, built on web standards, and free to use. You can see how it works, fork it, or run your own version.
