Fire Emblem Awakening portraits

If you want to, Xamad, you can use the sprites included in the Fire Emblem Conversation Editor so you don't have to manually re-rip the playable characters' graphics. Enjoy! --Breakin' Benny (talk) 21:16, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

FE1 Enemy Drops

I'll keep the official names in mind. However, in FE1, enemies don't drop item from their inventories; instead they drop a predetermined item based on a case-by-case basis. For now, I'll place it in notes, although further discusion may be needed on the subject. Thecornerman (talk) 03:56, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Sounds like a good solution to me, honestly. Image Xamad (talk) 04:02, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Concerning the Conquest chapter 26 chest at C1,R15

...It looks like how that chest works is a bit more complex than a simple observation would imply. I had ran through it with the scrub file I typically use for observation sweeps, and that chest had a Spy's Yumi, and made my edits accordingly. Upon your revert sweep, I went ahead and re-observed just that chest multiple times with both my main file and the observation scrub (my observation scrubs use female avatars opposite the male ones in my main files, primarily to obtain supports that require female avatars to obtain as well as to make earliest-possible observations for paralogue 4 as initially observing that chapter with a male avatar would have skewed my scaling observations). It turned out that my main Conquest file was consistently yielding the Spy's Shuriken, but the Conquest observation scrub consistently yielded the Spy's Yumi. This implies that there may be factors that determine which Spy weapon comes out of that chest (one possible factor being the avatar gender, but I can't say for certain if it's the primary factor or even if it's a factor at all and it's all randomly determined at a prior point). Far more detailed observations may need to be made, but from what's been observed, we really shouldn't be leading people to believe that chest's contents are fixed when my firsthand observations show otherwise. (As for why the Spy's Yumi page had listed that chest on its page before this drama--that came from an observation from the source we pulled translations of the chapters' Japanese names from, and they had apparently gotten the Spy's Yumi in their observations...)--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 03:49, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

That is very strange. For what it's worth, there's a single report of it being supposedly based on Kaze's dagger level (Yumi if it's less than B, Shuriken if it's B or higher), but I'm not completely sure of that. For what it's worth, I've always consistently used Kaze, and I've always gotten the Shuriken from it. Either way, this chest certainly warrants further investigation.
If you still can, try buying the Arms Scrolls from the shop and giving them both to Kaze in the scrub file, and see if that changes anything. Image Xamad (talk) 03:59, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
It's possible that could be it, actually. My main files, I've grinded up Kaze's weapon levels all the way up to their highest possible (and not just the shuriken one). My observations scrubs haven't trained anyone non-bonus apart from Corrin (I run superpowered bonus units from hacked castles for grinding and observation purposes, but never for my actual mainline chapter runs in my main files), and thus Kaze is a C-rank Ninja in my Conquest observation scrub. One Arms scroll in the scrub (didn't save after the run), one B rank onto Kaze, one observation run to the chest, one Spy's Shuriken in the bag...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 04:16, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
Seems like we may have about solved it then! Looking back on that, that is a really bizarre requirement, though. But hey, all the more reason to record it. Image Xamad (talk) 04:21, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Apology on True Hit

I felt like apologizing to my actions. I decided I will leave True Hit alone until I can find a valid source on the condition you tell me why you trust this Reddit user

From Bphilkid04

It's alright. As for why I trust u/dee-ee, they previously showed they were able to find code that proved Echoes used the same system as Fates did here. That and the user also explained their methods within the post cited on the True Hit page itself. — Image Xamad (talk) 18:36, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Should I keep writing this article?

So I'm working on my first article for this wiki and I'm wondering if the subject is worthy for inclusion since I want a mods opinion. If the subject is notable then what advice can you give for finishing this specific article? Anything I should add or remove? Here is the article. TimothyPrice (talk) 08:33, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

I'm not a mod or anything, so I don't think what I'd say would help all that much in regards to this. I'd ask someone like PikaSamus instead. — Image Xamad (talk) 13:18, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
Whoops! TimothyPrice (talk) 22:58, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Greetings!

Greetings!

My name is tacopill, and I'm the silent owner of the site. I was discussing potential staff additions with the current and your name is one of the ones that came up. Would you be interested in filling out a Request for permission? Alternatively, someone else can nominate you if you prefer that method.

Tacopill (talk) 03:26, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to the idea of becoming a staff member. I might not be able to be super active given that I'm still going through university classes and will be until at least summer 2022, but given the level of activity the site sees, it shouldn't be too hard to get in stuff done when needed. Not sure where on that page I'd need to fill out, though. — Image Xamad (talk) 03:33, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
Given what you said, and other factors,, patroller might be a good start. Then, if you think you are up for it at a later time, you can apply for admin. Does that sound reasonable? Tacopill (talk) 15:01, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
That sounds pretty reasonable to me. — Image Xamad (talk) 15:03, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
All set. Tacopill (talk) 17:37, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for Gwendolyn analysis edits!

Hey! Just wanted to thank you for edits on Gwendolyn analysis writing, I definitely struggled with a few parts, but I'm glad you went back and fixed some stuff. I also learned a few techniques thanks to it like redirecting for stuff that has multiple results. I'm new to this wiki editing thing and I just started because I felt like there are a lot of empty sections that I wouldn't mind filling out. Still getting used to some stuff but I'll get by. Cheers! Aroni (talk) 20:53, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

No problem, bud. It's kind of my job to make sure edits are up to snuff, but I'm always happy to see others get better at this stuff. Either way, we appreciate your extra hand in our wiki editing effort. Xamad (talk) 22:24, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Fell Dragon page history and Continents

The term, "Fell Dragon" or "Ja-Ryu", never shows up in any of the Archanea games, hence why I changed the history section to say Ylisse, it makes it clear to the reader that the term is related to Awakening and not any version of Shadow Dragon and the Blade of the Light or Mystery of the Emblem. Emperor Hardin (talk) 19:43, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

I see, that makes more sense actually. I probably should have just removed the "Valentia" part from the section name instead of reverting it completely, sorry about that. Xamad (talk) 19:46, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
The term does show up in Echoes, when the continent is still called Archanea. PikaSamus (talk) 19:55, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

About my user page

Hello, may I ask you to delete my four sandboxes listed under "Sandboxes for personal use and formatting practice" in my user page (Seikatsu)? When I first joined the wiki, I thought sandboxes were to be used for recreation but now I just feel awkward about them being public. Thanks. Seikatsu (talk) 19:55, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

I don't have page deletion privileges, unfortunately, so no. You'll need to ask one of the administrators for that. Xamad (talk) 20:08, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

Nomination for administrator

I'd like to nominate you for administrator permissions. Are you interested? — Thecornerman (talk) 00:34, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

I'm honestly a little surprised to be considered for it, given my reduced activity, but I won't say no to it. Xamad (talk) 02:26, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

Accidental deletion

I was trying to add a trivia section to Sophie, but I accidently deleted all afterward. Please fix it, I don't think I have the power to revert edits. I am truly sorry. I ment no malicious harm. Fire Emblem Guy (talk) 14:12, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Changes to Awakening Analyses

I have been following your edits to the Awakening analyses, but I cannot see what you have changed. It only shows what I added. Can you tell me what you have been changing please. Fire Emblem Guy (talk) 17:54, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

I've just been italicizing Awakening as it's a title, and changing level numbers to numerals. Xamad (talk) 17:59, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
Alright, but why does it show total changes sometimes, and the minor changes other times. Fire Emblem Guy (talk) 19:39, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
Do you mean from the Recent changes page? If there are multiple edits to a single page in a day, they'll be grouped together. There should also be an arrow on the left pointing to the page; if you click on that, you can see the individual edits (press "prev" to see the actual changes). Xamad (talk) 19:49, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

Trivia in Lissa's supports

Is there a reason why we need a separate trivia section in Lissa's supports. There is a trivia section on her main page for a reason. Enlighten me on why there needs to be two different ones. Thank you. Fire Emblem Guy (talk) 14:23, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

Keepsake Ring

Why did you revert my change? There was nothing wrong with it. Also, why do you replace spaces with "& n b s p ;"? GSC (talk) 10:34, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Mainly for the sake of consistency with other item articles. " " is a special character called a "non-breaking space"; where if it's put there, it should keep what's between them on the same line. So instead of having it possibly broken up like
+5
resistance
if it's close to the end of a line, it should always show up like
+5 resistance
as an example. Xamad (talk) 15:46, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

FE15 World Map Reinforcements

Hey there!

I noticed on your user page that you were looking for the world map reinforcement data for Echoes. I've managed to datamine them with Paragon. Since I don't know where to put them on the actual pages, I'll just leave the data here for you to work with.

All enemy units have their standard AI unless otherwise stated. Groups are represented by the first unit on the load list on the world map; data below is entered in the order they appear in the code, except for NM/HM inventory differences, which are condensed into one entry, but preserve their relative order. + denotes additional levels/inventory items on Hard. Reinforcement groups are also listed in their relative order in the code, and I've included a quick translation of their internal names as well.

Format: Class, level, inventory, spell list for magic users, personal skills, other notes

  • Dread Fighter, Lv1+2, nothing, affiliation = Duma Faithful, ONLY SPAWNS ON HARD (but is given a Normal Mode level)

That is all the data I was able to dig up. It should be noted that nothing in what I found directly indicates which group spawns from where, though much of this can be implied from the affiliations of the units.

Oh, wow! Thanks a ton! I'll see what I can do with this when I get to it. Xamad (talk) 13:21, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
