"FEATHERS" is an album recorded together with an acclaimed Italian jazz singer Simona De Rosa, who's also the producer of the album.
Feathers is Simona De Rosa’s journey through cultures, languages, and personal experiences, woven together through eight distinct tracks. Each song reflects years of musical exploration and deep personal connections, blending folk traditions from different parts of the world. From the rolling green fields of Ireland to the rhythmic pulse of Cuba, the haunting beauty of Bulgarian choirs to the soulful melodies of the Arab world, Feathers is an immersive, genre-defying experience. The album’s rich and eclectic sound has been carefully crafted with Michal Ciesielski, who co-wrote and arranged the music, tailoring each composition specifically to Simona De Rosa’s voice and artistic vision. Over the course of a year, the two worked closely together to shape every detail of the album, creating a collection of songs that feel deeply personal and sonically cohesive. His arrangements bring depth and cohesion to the diverse influences present in the album, creating a bridge between cultures. |
The unique sonic landscape is further enriched by the Polish band Confusion Project, with whom Simona has developed a strong musical partnership over the years. This collaboration merges Simona’s diverse vocal artistry with Confusion Project’s dynamic instrumentation, resulting in a truly global sound.
Since its release on March 23, 2025, Feathers has been brought on tour across Europe with over 50 concerts in Poland, Germany, and Italy, touching stages in festivals, jazz clubs, and cultural centers.

First Live album of Confusion Project, recorded during their concert at Radio Gdańsk in March 2023. Consists of some of the band's biggest hits from all it's previous albums, such as CONFUSION, ON THE OTHER HAND, THE CLIMB, LAST and many more, as well as a new song "What Now?" which is still to be released on a studio album. The sound mixing and mastering was carefully prepared by Marcin Iszora. The whole album is available also in video format on Youtube, as it was recorded with 5 cameras.

The fourth CD of the charismatic jazz trio, Confusion Project (Michał Ciesielski – piano, Piotr Gierszewski – bass guitar, Adam Golicki – drums) is another (after Primal) illustrative album. Just like in the previous CD, the main inspiration for the music is nature – although this time it's the concern about it's state. The band chooses this topic to express a musical manifest – a plea to treat seriously the problems we're facing as a civilisation.
The music, although still within the jazz fusion idiom, includes a lot of elements characteristic for such genres as progressive rock, metal, or drum&bass. This more heavy and dark sound perfectly fits the message of this album. Nonetheless it's still easy to recognise it's a Confusion Project album, full of melodies, rich harmonies and counterpoints and some illustrative elements. |
The double meaning of the title of the album - „Last” - gives us a hint of what to expect. We can be the last to experience the world as we know it, or put some effort to make it last longer. And so you can find pieces about anxiety, denialism, melancholy, but also hope and acceptance. Focusing on such strong emotions is a way of saying that we're in a breaking point.
Confusion Project decided to take a stand in this matter with their music, but also with action. In year 2020 they started an initiative called #1CD1tree, and since then sponsored planting over 2000 trees on several continents in places devastated by human actions. Also the album's digipack is going to be produced from recycled, ecological paper only.

PRIMAL (2018)

PRIMAL is a suite divided into parts describing the journey of a lonely man who finds his true nature and primality by his contact with nature. It is a story about a man who has the courage to give vent to his dreams and instincts, and go into the unknown. Escaping from civilization, struggling with the hardships of a lonely journey, he experiences a great adventure that helps him find his nature, his original sensitivity, which he lost long ago.
PRIMAL is one illustrative piece divided into chapters. It is a monologue of the main character, described by the band in their music. You can hear all the bustling forests, rustling streams, fresh mountain wind and arduous climb, rewarded by beautiful landscapes. When creating the album, the band hoped that the listeners would be able to empathize with the main character of the PRIMAL suite and would live this journey in their own unique way. |

“After the recordings and the tour promoting the album" The Future Starts Now " it was clear to me that the third album had to be something completely different from our previous albums. With the next concerts our music began to evolve and the band's existing formula was not enough for us. Then I had an idea to create a concept album and I was convinced this was a good direction.
We have often heard the opinion that our music has an illustrative element and tells stories. On the previous releases each composition was a separate story. Now we have created one story divided into chapters. A story told in PRIMAL is my interpretation of human contact with nature, both in the context of nature and human nature. When writing a suite, I had to ask myself some questions. What natural do I find in music? What is my nature as an artist? Which music can best describe the beauty and austerity of the environment?
I came up with the idea to describe a man who goes for a walk to the old oak outside the city every day and this is his way of breaking away from reality for a moment. One day, he spontaneously decides not to go back and go further, look more broadly at the world that surrounds him.
This is how PRIMAL begins. So begins the journey, which I hope every listener will set out on, empathizing and identifying with the main character in a unique way”.
