I was talking with someone the other day about how recycling ideas is so big right now—live action remakes, books for movies that are based on books from the last century—and we kinda got to the conclusion that AI generation is just another symptom of this need to fall back on old stories and refusing to invest in new talent because it is riskier than just shoving money into something that has worked and gotten a lot of money before. So yeah, AI generated ideas will keep immitating eachother into garbled nothingness, but for a lot of people with the money in their hands this is just the philosophy they're into anyways🔗 📍 Erfurt, DEJo

I hate when people say 'Trump is so stupid' or variations thereof. Being stupid is not a moral failing and it's not his moral failing either. Donald Trump is an evil and entirely self absorbed man. It's like when people say he is ugly. Sure, but that's not a moral failing. Stop trying to find his errors in conventionally demonized traits that have nothing to do with anything. the thing about the movie 'girl with hyacinths' (1950) is that to the modern viewer it gets obvious pretty quickly that she is gay (bi) and so you think 'okay sure she killed herself because shes gay. wow' and then by the end of the movie its like no actually. she killed herself because she was clinging to the memory of the woman she loved but couldn't be with as a last staple of hope in a world that kept disappointing her and when she meets that woman again and it turns out that she was a nazi collaborator it's the last straw for her because in that moment she is utterly convinced that there in no good left in the world. actually.🔗 📍 Erfurt, DEJo
