The nitty gritty

Intent

The intent of this competition is to:
  • Create a body of ratings/reviews for Dart packages that are publicly available to the entire Dart community.
  • Introduce the Dart community to the OnePub package discussions.
  • Reward one developer of a Dart Open Source package that has provided a significant contribution to the Dart community.
  • Reward one community member (at random) for contributing a review for any package they have nominated or voted for.
Above all, the competition must be perceived to be fair.

The OnePub Community Choice Awards operates in two rounds, Nominations and Voting.

1. Nominations

The nominations round is open for two weeks. You can nominate up to three projects (yours or someone else's) listed on OnePub. To be eligible for the voting round, a project must receive at least two nominations. Go ahead and ask your friends to nominate you, but the second we catch wind of duplicate accounts being created, you won't like the consequences...

2. Voting

The voting round is open for two weeks. During this time you'll be able to wield your power as a community member by casting votes for any number of packages.

Prize Allocation

The winner of the major prize will need to prove ownership of the package to the satisfaction of OnePub Pty Ltd. If ownership cannot be proven or the owner doesn't meet the competition conditions then the runner up will be awarded the prize.

Please note that selected packages must be published on pub.dev and actively maintained. We at OnePub reserve the right to exclude any package we believe doesn't meet the stated objectives of the competition. Prizes will only be awarded to individuals, not companies

OnePub Pty Ltd reserves the right to exclude any winner for any reason to ensure the legality, fairness and intention of the competition.
