Building Access
HSP's main entrance on Locust Street is only accessible via a short flight of stairs. Our accessible entrance is located on the 13th Street side of the building and features an interior lift. Though it’s just around the corner, we recommend entering 236 S. 13th Street into your GPS to direct you to the correct door. A staff member will be able to assist with entry.
Interior Spaces
The majority of HSP's public spaces are on the first floor, including the Reading Room, exhibit area, and main gathering spaces. Additional event space on the second floor can be reached by elevator. An accessible restroom is located on the first floor near the elevator.
Assistants and Aides
If you need to bring an assistant or translator with you due to any kind of physical impairment, we will not charge your accompanying aide admission.
Service Animals
The Historical Society of Pennsylvania is service dog friendly.
