The Libreboot project provides free, open source (libre) boot firmware based on coreboot, replacing proprietary BIOS/UEFI firmware on specific Intel/AMD x86 and ARM based motherboards.

A note on AMD support

AMD is not very well supported by Libreboot and Coreboot due to its usage of the propriatary AGESA, openSIL is planned to replace AGESA permanently by the AMD Zen 6 release. OpenSIL is not planned to be officially backported to earlier AMD CPUs, but has been shown to work on systems as old as Zen1.
