    If your startup feels illegal it's actually a good sign IMO. Some examples: - Uber / Lyft felt illegal (regular people use their regular cars as taxis). - OpenAI felt illegal (scraping the web). - Coinbase felt illegal (crypto).

    This is exactly why Anthropic pisses me off. You can keep saying the watermark doesn’t change ownership, doesn’t identify the user, doesn’t affect quality, doesn’t add hidden characters, and won’t look any different to readers. Fine. But that is not the whole issue. The issue is

    The fact that I need a $300 X sub to this is sad. I have premium+ on X (SuperGrok) and I can't have access to it. Not even a little bit. Only SuperGrok Heavy have access to it, it's $300 or nothing. I suspect this is way we don't see any hype for this.
