- Ironically, mandatory “diversity statements” in CA university hiring are designed to only people with uniform opinions.Test-blind admissions were only part of Berkeley's post-2020 DEI revolution. The # of staff in the "Equity & Inclusion" division grew from 111 to 203 b/w 2017 & 2024. At the same time, 75% of faculty applicants for some jobs were rejected “purely on diversity statements.”
