A few tools run on paid third-party providers. We pass the provider's price straight through with a 5% platform fee — no markup on top. The figures below are approximate: the real cost depends on the provider, model, and resolution, and can change with advance notice as providers update their rates. Frequently asked questions
Yes. Free is hard-capped, needs no credit card, and never produces a surprise bill. You get 100K tool calls a month, unlimited connections, custom tools and MCP, and 3 team members. When you reach a cap, usage pauses until the next month or until you upgrade.
Each time one of your tools runs counts as one tool call. Meta tools like tool search are free and never billed.
A session is the context your agent runs in. You give it its meta tools, it searches for the tools it needs for a task, and it runs them within the session. Creating a session is free, and running tools through a session is the recommended, optimized path. Running a tool outside a session adds a small direct-execution add-on. Learn more.
With your own app you connect your own OAuth application or API keys and get the full 100K free tool calls a month. Composio-managed apps are a shared OAuth application we run so you can skip setup. They include 20K free tool calls a month, then bill at an extra $0.0002 per tool call on top of the base rate.
A shared connection is one of your own connected accounts, for example a team support@ mailbox or a company Metabase, that other users in your org reuse through access control. The first 1K shared-connection tool calls a month are free, then they bill at an extra $0.0003 per tool call.
On your own app they are unlimited and free. On Composio-managed apps you get up to 1K on Free, then $0.10 per connection on paid plans.
Pro is $29 a month and includes usage credit that resets every month with no rollover. Past the included free amounts, overage bills on the rate card. You can set spend caps so you never get a surprise bill.
On Free, usage pauses at the cap with no charge until the next month or until you upgrade. On Pro, you keep running and pay overage, and spend caps let you set a ceiling.
Triggers deliver events to your webhook. You are billed per event delivered, not per poll. You get 50K a month free, then $0.003 per trigger event.
Premium tools are the few tools Composio runs on paid third-party providers, such as web search, media generation, and the browser tool. We pass the provider's price straight through with a 5% platform fee — no markup on top — so you pay roughly what the provider charges, per query, per image, and so on. Everything else runs on your own keys as a regular tool call.
Add-ons are extra per-call charges. Some apply automatically based on how a call runs, such as direct execution outside a Session, proxy execution, or running in the sandbox. Others you enable for security or compliance, such as zero data retention, DPA, IP allowlist, and advanced white-labeling. You only pay for the ones that apply to your usage.
Most calls are just the base tool-call rate. Add-ons are small extras that apply only when a call actually uses that capability, so you never pay for one you are not using. For example, a call that runs in the sandbox adds a small sandbox amount, and a proxy-execute call is still one tool call at the base rate with a small proxy add-on on top. On Pro you can set spend caps, so the total never goes past a ceiling you choose.
Proxy execute is an escape hatch for calling an API endpoint we have not wrapped as a tool, or for advanced request options a standard tool cannot express. Composio still handles auth, so you never touch raw credentials. It is billed as one tool call at the base rate plus a small proxy add-on for the pass-through, not as two separate charges. LLM tokens are billed only when Composio runs an LLM for you, for example a sub-agent that processes data at scale. Today this applies inside the Sandbox, and the same pricing applies generally wherever Composio runs a model for you. If you use your own model or agent, this never applies. You get 1M tokens free each month, then $3.75 per million. Learn more.
ZDR is zero data retention. It is a Pro and above add-on that stops Composio from retaining your request and response payloads. It bills at $0.0001 per tool call, plus $0.0005 per trigger event.
KMS proxy lets you hold your own encryption keys, so Composio never sees your API keys or tokens in plaintext. Secrets are encrypted before they reach us and run through a proxy, and we only ever store the encrypted values. It covers secret storage, not full data residency, and is available on Enterprise.
White-labeling brands the connection page your users see when they authorize a tool. Basic white-labeling adds your logo and name, and is included on every plan. Advanced white-labeling lets you theme the whole connection page, such as colors and styling. It is a Pro and above add-on at $0.30 per connection, one time.
Yes. Free is hard-capped, and on Pro you can set per-meter spend caps so spend never goes past a ceiling you choose.
