Friday, February 20, 2026: TEACHING COMICS, a one-day symposium designed for high school art teachers—and anyone interested in comics and printing —featuring renowned artist/activist Sue Coe. Workshops and presentations introduced innovative teaching methods that incorporate comics into art education, promoting creativity and visual literacy.

Events included Coe’s keynote, a hands-on Risograph workshop, a printmaking demonstration, a tour of the new, 94,000 sq. foot Sarofim Hall arts facility on the Rice Campus, a guided tour of the latest exhibition at the Moody Center for the Arts, a book launch, and a film screening.
