The Brooklyn Avenue School PTA (Parent Teacher Association) plays a vital role in enriching the educational experience and fostering a strong community at our school. Our core purpose is to support students, families, and staff through various initiatives including:
Advocating for the needs of students and ensuring their voices are heard, as well as facilitating crucial communication between parents, teachers, and the school administration to keep everyone informed and connected.
Actively working to build a vibrant school community by organizing events and activities that bring families together.
Fundraising to secure additional resources and programs that directly benefit students.
Recruiting and coordinating parent volunteers to assist with countless school activities.

2026 Raise Craze.mp4Welcome to the Brooklyn Avenue School PTA Raise Craze fundraiser!
From May 1st through May 22nd, our school community will participate in a unique, kindness-based fundraising program. Unlike traditional fundraisers, Raise Craze focuses on Acts of Kindness (AOK) rather than selling products. Students ask for donations from friends and family and then "pay it forward" by completing good deeds for others.
The BAS PTA’s core purpose is to enrich our students' educational experiences and build a vibrant community. We chose Raise Craze because it:
Promotes Character: Students learn the value of gratitude and community service.
Is Inclusive: Every student can participate by spreading kindness, regardless of whether they raise money.
Keeps Funds Local: Our PTA keeps at least 90% of the proceeds, which directly support resources and programs for our students.
