I'd say both Tylenol and Ibuprofen usage is common in ultras. It's not cheating.

Generally Tylenol is safe if it's used within the dosage on the label. It's easier to overdose on Tylenol than Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen can be harder on the body and can increase possibility of Kidney damage and Rhabdo.

Obviously, I'm not a doctor so you'd be a fool to listen to me here. My personal choice though is to carry Tylenol but I'm only using it for an unplanned problem. Imagine me falling and hitting my elbow. I might use Tylenol then. Painkillers are not a part of my plan though.

Eat. I recommend doing it sooner rather than later. You both want protein for your muscles to rebuild and carbs to refill your tank. Both of these will refill your tank.

Active Recovery. These are those light walks you're talking about. Some people like an easy spin on a bike and for others it's a light, easy, short run.

Rest/Sleep. Your body needs time to rebuild. Lay on the couch. Relax. Prioritize sleep and sleep longer than usual if you can. Don't be afraid of a nap. Sleeping is where the magic happens.

I liked the one where there was a mostly naked guy covering up his middle section with a sign that said "Run Faster or I'll Drop The Sign"

shit i guess i should have stuck my tongue out

I'm with you. I went to a conference last week and got some kind of sickness. I'm on the other side of it but still not 100%. Doing my best to rest and recover today and planning on just having a fun run tomorrow without any time goals. As others have said, mask up to help others stay healthy!

You can get a pretty cool poster with your time on it at Tracksmith

Also, if you miss the wave it's not the end of the world

The key to the night in a 100 is to get stoked. It's the weirdest and the best part of the race.... except for the sunrise. That's actually the best.
