A visual storyteller driven by memory, emotion, and the power of photographs to transcend time. Although Alisa has only been working professionally since 2022, photography has been part of her life for as long as she can remember. Her journey began by capturing the childhood memories of her own children, evolving into a professional practice during the pandemic. Today, her work is rooted in preserving meaningful moments, celebrating connection, nostalgia, and the magic of being able to return to a moment long after it has passed. 💬 “To be able to go back to a time in the past visually is inexplicable. It gives me chills. Photographs have always been a very important part of history. Just think about it. Long after we are gone, a preciously preserved photograph either digital or physical will still remain.” “When I reflect on Black History Month and the role photography has played in preserving that history, you can’t really appreciate one without the other. Through photography, we have the ability to step back in time with our ancestors in the most magical way. My mind immediately goes to images of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Lincoln Memorial during his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, and then to the Lorraine Motel in those final moments. It’s because of photography that we get to truly BE THERE. From Madame C.J.
