It appears that the issue was due to Aquaris' pump not functioning properly due to some mysterious buildup in the tubing and/or the coolant tank ("mysterious" because I'm using only distilled water, which should not cause such issues). A big thank you to the Tuxedo tech support team for helping me diagnose the issue!
That being said, I remain cautious. What could possibly clog up the system like that?
My Aquaris Gen5 has been constantly disconnecting and switching off for the last several months. When I turn it back on, it connects normally but typically either immediately turns back off or runs for anywhere from several minutes to a few hours before switching back off again.
Changing the fan speed has no effect on this. The device is filled with water and plugged in correctly. I wrote to Tuxedo tech support and they suggested it might be due to Bluetooth interference but that seems unlikely since I don't have powerful 2.4 GHz sources in my room and other Bluetooth devices don't have similar issues.
There might be a correlation between it disconnecting more often and having heavy loads on the dedicated GPU (GeForce RTX 4080) but I cannot confirm this, since it keeps happening also when the laptop is resting. I'm running a 6.8.0-101041-tuxedo kernel, every other component seems to be working fine. Could this be a defective device? I haven't found any solutions so far but I wouldn't want to order a new one without knowing if it's more likely a hardware or a software issue. TIA!
