I think analyzing a problem is different from designing a solution for it. Also designing a solution is different from coding it. In these 3 areas, you have to find where your strength is and focus on that.

The word "weekend" translates differently when you're no longer a witness

You can say that again. Street work on Saturday morning, followed by return visits and home bible studies in the afternoon. Then on Sunday, there is more field service and meetings. That was a demanding lifestyle!

Used to read books as a kid but now find it difficult to read a few pages

I don't trouble myself with remembering what I have read. Interestingly enough, when in conversations with people, the material I read comes back when relevant issues are discussed. So, just keep on reading and trust the process.

If they drag children to meetings and field service, it is tiring for the child that has no faith. They feel that when they are out of the house life would be better.

I don't recommend involving elders because they will exert their own pressure on you asking you about your relationship with Jehovah yadda yadda yadda. Then they will pray and play mind games on you.

Don't get baptized. When you are baptized there is a reason for JWs to shun you, however, there is none when you are not a JW. Baptism makes you a JW. Your parents are trying to trap you into a miserable life.

Tell your parents you are not ready to get baptized and it is a personal decision to do so. Tell them you would appreciate it if they don't interfere in your relationship with Jehovah. As an 18-year-old they have less power over you and they will soon get tired of supporting you. They will ask you to contribute to the grocery and expenses of the house. Refuse and tell them that you do not want their shelter and food. They will then kick you out.
