I have the CZ-1000 I bought in the mid-‘80s—still in great working order. Oli Larkin’s Virtual CZ plugin can be used as a patch designer and librarian on the CZ—makes tweaking patches a bit easier.

If you hold Alt (or Cmd on Mac) as you drag in multiple files, they’ll be placed on separate tracks rather than one after the other on one track. I hope that’s the problem you’re describing and I’m not being patronising!

Need Some Guitar Recording Advice

Ableton has Amp and Cabinet audio effects that will simulate amp and speaker cabinets. Add to these delays, tube effects etc, and you should be able to rid yourself of the clean sound!
