Is there a device that would solve my problem? u/JispyMoeDantes • Is there a device that would solve my problem? Okay, so... sometimes I go to visit my nephew. The internet router is in his dad's room, but the gaming console area is on the other side of the house. I'd like to play Fortnite with my nephew but my Switch is far enough away that it often loses the signal (this seems to not affect his X-box for some reason). So either I have to move closer to the router but then be unable to talk to my partner, or just deal with it and leave him battling alone any time I get dropped. What I'm wondering is if there's some device I could hook into the USB-C port of my Switch 2 which would boost its ability to get the signal, or if maybe I could somehow hook a wired receiver into it that goes to, I dunno, a receiver antenna or something.... but I have no idea if such a thing exists or what they'd be called. Essentially, I'm asking for solutions that don't amount to "ask dude to move the internet router" (which the dad refuses to do for some reason). Thanks in advance.
