Yesterday night reminded us that the most valuable deals don’t start with a pitch. They start over dinner. We planned for 18 founders. 31 showed up.❤️ The conversations went everywhere: hobbies, pets, AI, US GTM, email marketing and some seriously cool marketing investments. And then came the fireside chats. 🔥 Aditi × Subhadeep Aditi × Amarpreet Varun × Kaustubh Three conversations. Three journeys. Plenty of stories. You’ll have to be at the next one for the rest. We’re gatekeeping the insights for now, as promised, no recordings. 😉 No rigid agenda. No pitching. Just founders sharing what’s actually happening, finding each other, and building trust. By the end of the evening, new partnerships had formed, buyers and sellers were finding each other, and people who had just met were talking like old friends. In a world where AI is making everything faster, I believe trust is becoming the real currency. That’s what we’re trying to build at GTM Unbound: spaces where founders can share, challenge each other, and create value without the usual noise. Big thanks to Paddle and Outbox Labs for sponsoring the evening, and Payoneer for helping us bring this community together. The food was good. The conversations were better. And somehow, nobody wanted the evening to end. 😄 If you’re a Founder or a VC and want to experience gatherings like these, join us this Saturday for a relaxed Founder Walk. Next week Thursday I’ll be in NYC for Business of Apps 📲 Lucas Lovell and I are running a session on app2web: the best converting flows, and what to do to maximize conversion and retention. We’ll start from scratch (what app2web even is), then walk through a working flow end to end, including common compliance mistakes most teams make. By the end, you'll know how to run app2web so you get up to 30% more proceeds. It’s going to be a hands-on session, so bring your app and lots of questions. We’ll answer them live. Sign up and let’s chat!

Supporting a market isn’t just about accepting its currency. People need to be able to pay the way they already do. India and Brazil are two of the fastest-growing markets in Paddle’s top 15. And in both, one local payment method dominates: 80%+ of digital payments in India run through UPI, while 93% of Brazilian adults use Pix. Both started with one-off payments. Both have since evolved to support subscriptions too: UPI AutoPay in India and Pix Automático in Brazil. We brought UPI AutoPay to Paddle in June. Today, Pix Automático is live too. So if you’re selling subscriptions in Brazil, customers can now sign up using a payment method they already know and use: no card required, and less friction at checkout. Early conversion data is encouraging too. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens as more customers put it to work. Live now for Paddle customers: https://lnkd.in/eK-Vwpg8

New London hub, same digital-first philosophy. We’ve officially moved into our new home in King’s Cross, at the heart of one of London’s leading tech and AI communities. At Paddle, people choose where they do their best work. Our hubs are there for the moments when coming together adds real value. The new space has been designed around collaboration, connection, and community, with flexible areas and hybrid technology that make it easier for everyone to contribute, wherever they’re working. And being in King’s Cross brings us closer to many of the SaaS, app, and AI businesses, partners, and builders we support every day. Here’s to the next chapter from our new London home! 🥂

A lot of what we do at Paddle comes down to finding a fine balance between compliance, buyer experience and seller success. Very hard to do, but +10,000 customers with +$bns processed prove it’s not impossible. The Helium x Paddle integration is a perfect example. The Automatic Renewal Law in California requires express affirmative consent to a recurring charge. So we were faced with a challenge: If we put a consent checkbox as the first thing a buyer sees on the checkout, some 20-30% of them would skip the purchase. If we don't capture it we can't be compliant in California and therefore cannot help our customers serve this market. What we did instead: 1️⃣ When we detect a Californian buyer, we flag the checkout as needing consent 2️⃣ Helium injects the consent screen post payment authentication 3️⃣ The payment and subscription creation only happens if the buyer consents It captures the buyer's attention at their highest intent and the app within tapping distance. With this flow, we’re currently seeing 90% of California buyers who see the consent screen activate. Much more than 70-80% we’d most likely see if the consent screen appeared before the checkout. This is one of the hundreds of optimizations we've made, based on local reg updates from around the world... so that all our customers can just get on with scaling!

Payment acceptance is one of those stats where small improvements can have a big impact at scale. 📈 That’s why we’ve been working closely with Checkout.com on the less visible parts of payment performance: how transactions are routed, where they’re acquired, when issuers get involved, and where costs can be reduced. Those changes have helped drive a 2% acceptance uplift across Checkout.com traffic, $135K in annual network cost savings, and a 3.3x increase in transaction volume in under a year. One of the clearest asks we’ve heard from businesses selling into Brazil: support for recurring payments through Pix. Today, we’re launching Pix Automático with Paddle. Businesses selling subscriptions in Brazil can now offer Pix Automático at checkout, giving Brazilian customers a familiar way to subscribe and renew. For teams testing or growing in Brazil, it’s now easier to offer a checkout experience that feels local, without making their payments setup more complicated. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ebBzmxqG

The transaction fee is easy to compare. The rest of your billing stack is harder to see. Tax. Fraud. Failed payments. Reporting. Buyer support. Engineering time. Finance time. The tools and processes that get added as the business grows. Each one can make sense on its own. Together, they tell you much more about what your payment operation actually costs. 💸 Our latest blog looks at the full picture: where those costs show up, how they compound as you scale, and why total cost of ownership is a more useful comparison than the headline rate alone. Swipe through for the quick version, then read the full breakdown at the link in comments 👇
