Hello there, nice to meet you
Benjamin Thuillier — a French functional programmer at Conduktor, working on Kafka governance. Notes on distributed systems and developer tools, plus a few digressions into guitar gear and vinyl.
Welcome. This place is quiet: a few notes, links to what I'm building, and a proper résumé for those who like dated lists.
Fifteen years in, mostly around Scala, Kafka, and the awkward seam where streaming data meets a product someone has to use. Ad tech at Teads and TabMo, then data platforms at iAdvize and Talend, now governance at Conduktor: different domains, the same recurring questions about consistency, throughput, and the things a schema quietly assumes. I write to understand, not to publish, so posts come in fits and starts, when something deserves to be set down.
Away from the keyboard, it's mostly guitars and records. A few instruments, a pedalboard that keeps drifting toward heavier territory, and a vinyl shelf that leans the same way — loud, layered, and not in a hurry.
You can write to me at benjaminthuillier@gmail.com, or find me on GitHub.
