Become a sponsor to Martin Wimpress
Hello, I'm Martin Wimpress, also known as Wimpy 👋
In my spare time, I like to make things with software 👨💻 I am working towards a goal of covering annual fees to enable signing macOS and Windows releases of my projects. Funds 💰 generated via GitHub sponsorship will be put towards that once the goal is met. Any surplus will be put towards:
- Keeping me caffeinated ☕️
- Funding subscriptions, tooling and infrastructure for new and existing projects 📈
Unsigned releases force macOS users to strip quarantine attributes and Windows users to click through SmartScreen warnings - friction that makes freely available Open Source projects feel untrustworthy even though they aren't. Code-signing removes both barriers entirely. The annual cost is $99 for Apple Developer Program membership, ~$170 for a Certum OV certificate for Windows, and $165 for GoReleaser Pro, the tooling that automates the signing pipeline for both platforms - plus a one-time ~$100 hardware token now required by all certificate authorities. That comes to ~$435/year ongoing and ~$535 in year one, which $45/month covers. Reaching this goal means signed releases on all platforms, no workarounds required.

SelectMoney for Nothing
Free and open source software isn't free to ship. Code-signing certificates, a hardware token, and GoReleaser Pro are what stand between your users and a wall of security warnings. This tier keeps the lights on so the software stays free and the releases stay trustworthy.

SelectSigned, Sealed, Delivered
Apple Developer Program membership, a Certum OV certificate, and the tooling to wire it all together - that's what turns a download into something your OS actually trusts. This tier covers the infrastructure that means nobody has to override their security settings just to run good software.
