Just to add to that, at the company where I work we use this functionality a lot and we use it through Yoast. Yesterday I was studying the project and ended up implementing this feature to test it and get a feel for the project. There are still some adjustments to be made, but after I finish, do you think it would be a good feature to submit a PR for?

Currently, redirect rules do not support regex patterns.
It would be useful to allow defining redirects using regular expressions, enabling more flexible and dynamic URL matching.
