    Hi @wp207,

    Thanks for your message.

This could definitely be normal. Just to confirm though, would you mind uploading a screenshot of what you’re seeing on Google Search Console? You may use a tool like Snipboard (https://snipboard.io/) to create and share your screenshots.

We’ll be looking forward to your reply.

    Hi @tokyobiyori

Now everything is ok in Google Search Console, I have 7 pages discovered (read, detected) for “Index of Sitemaps”. I think it has probably been corrected by Google during the night or something like that. I’ll check in a few weeks and I’ll let you know if something is wrong again.

Last question : Since when the sitemap url is https://therapies-alternatives-bordeaux.fr/page-sitemap.xml ? Because before, it was https://therapies-alternatives-bordeaux.fr/sitemap.xml (without page).

    Thanks.

    Hi @wp207,

Thanks for your reply. Please note that https://therapies-alternatives-bordeaux.fr/sitemap.xml is still your sitemap index, and https://therapies-alternatives-bordeaux.fr/page-sitemap.xml is a sub-sitemap. If you have posts, you will get one that will be /post-sitemap.xml.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi @tokyobiyori

Im sorry for the delay of response ! Ok then for the sitemaps’URL, everything is ok now ! Related to that, I have noticed that Im not having yet an HTML Site Map created and displayed with either of the choices available in there : /aioseo-settings/html-sitemap settings. So I am wondering if this is necessary to create one and if it has to be displayed on the site ? I guess it’s better for Google, right ?

Finally, I have store this code (in webmasters-tools settings) to be placed in the section head. Is there something else I could write here to improve my SEO, like easy and simple codes to acknowledge Google.

    <title>Alternatives Bordeaux</title>

Thanks so much for your reply. Have a great weekend, Philippe.

    Hi @wp207,

    Thanks for your reply!

Actually, AIOSEO has a setting to create an HTML sitemap, have you checked it yet?

    https://aioseo.com/docs/html-sitemap/

It’s not necessary to create an HTML sitemap, but having it is not a bad idea.

Now, regarding the HTML code you posted, I think it’s not necessary to add it because AIOSEO already outputs what Google needs, but please let me check with my team. I’ll get back to you soon.

Please let me know if you need anything else in the meantime.

    Hi @tokyobiyori

Thanks ! Yes I had checked it, that’s why I am gonna create one and put it in the footer, if I manage to do so … 🙂 Im waiting for your team advice. Great day.

    Hi @tokyobiyori

I get back to you please about this page : https://therapies-alternatives-bordeaux.fr/plan-de-site

As you can see, the sidebar on the right is displayed. I have tried to disable this display (each widget of the sidebar) with the widget options settings (Hide on selected pages) but this html sitemap page does not appear in the pages I can select to be hiden in the widget options settings. Do you have a solution for that ? If possible I don’t want this sidebar on this page though… Thanks a lot ! Great day. Philippe

    Hi @wp207,

I’m sorry for the delay on my reply.

I’ve checked with my team and yes, the code you share doesn’t need to be added as All in One SEO already outputs that code in the correct format with the site information you have added in All in One SEO > Search Appearance, and under each individual content’s settings. If you’ve added it, please remove it to prevent confusing search engines.

    Now, regarding your second question:
For the sitemap widget, are you using the AIOSEO widget, or is it a different widget generating the sitemap on the sidebar?

    Thanks!

    (@wp207)

    Hi @tokyobiyori

No problem for the delay. I have deleted the codes placed in the head section in “general setings -> webmasters-tools settings”. It’s now empty. What could I add here though to improve the SEO ? Nothing ?

For the html sitemap, I am not using a widget but a dedicated page (the first option before Gutenberg block). This pas is https://therapies-alternatives-bordeaux.fr/plan-de-site

but I cannot modify this page with Elementor or change anything on it (like the fonts or none displaying the sidebar) because this page does not exist for Elementor nor WordPress. So I will create a new page with Elementor called ‘Plan de site’ and I will use a shortcode to add the html sitemap on it and then, I will be able to change the CSS etc…I’ll let you know !Thanks. Great day.

    Hi @wp207,

I see you have multiple inquiries, so please find my answers as follows:

    1. I have deleted the codes placed in the head section in “general setings -> webmasters-tools settings”. It’s now empty. What could I add here though to improve the SEO ? Nothing ?
AIOSEO generates the SEO information based on what you add in each individual piece of content. I suggest checking how to use our plugin to optimize your title and description tags here:
      https://aioseo.com/docs/setting-the-seo-title-and-description-for-your-content/
      https://aioseo.com/how-to-write-meta-descriptions-for-seo/
      https://aioseo.com/docs/using-the-focus-keyphrase-to-analyze-your-content/
    2. For the html sitemap, I am not using a widget but a dedicated page (the first option before Gutenberg block)…I will create a new page with Elementor called ‘Plan de site’ and I will use a shortcode to add the html sitemap on it and then, I will be able to change the CSS etc…I’ll let you know!
Thank you! Were you able to create it? Are you able to edit it now? Or is there something else I can do for you?

    (@wp207)

    Hi @tokyobiyori

Thanks for the documentations, I have done all this. And I did create the page and I can edit it and customize it. Thank you very much. I close this ticket.

    (@wp207)

Hi @tokyobiyori Im sorry Im reopening this ticket. I am using a widget shortcode for displaying the html sitmap on page https://therapies-alternatives-bordeaux.fr/plan-du-site/

Is there a particular reason the label_tag is h4 by default ? Because I would like to have h2. And this widget shortcode : [widget id=”aioseo-html-sitemap-widget-2″ label_tag=h2] does not work, does not change anything. Could you give me the good one ? Thank you. Great eve. Philippe

    Hi @wp207,

The code should be [widget id=”aioseo-html-sitemap-widget-2″ label_tag=”h2″]

    Add quotes around the “h2”.

Please let me know if that works for you.

@subiewrx Oh my goodness, thank you it works ! Great day !
