Is it possible to use RegEx to identify content in an order or user to block them? It would be useful to be able to have regular expressions to identify information that is seen when fake users / orders come through. I’ve been seeing the same faker based python orders that many others have discussed here in the support forum.

Is this possible? I’d be happy to share information from the types of spam orders I’m seeing if that helps.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your suggestion — we completely understand the challenge you’re facing with recurring spam or fake orders.

Currently, our Fraud Prevention for WooCommerce plugin doesn’t support direct RegEx (Regular Expression) matching for order or user content. However, we do offer flexible condition-based rules such as:

    • Email patterns (e.g., block specific domains like @tempmail.com)
    • Name or address keywords
    • Specific IP ranges or geolocation
    • Payment method or shipping method filters
    • Order value thresholds

That said, your idea about RegEx is very insightful, and we’d love to learn more about the specific patterns you’re seeing from these Python-based spam orders.

If you could share a few examples (screenshots or sample order data), we’d be happy to evaluate whether a custom workaround or future feature addition is possible.

Looking forward to your inputs — and thanks again for helping us improve the plugin!

    Best regards,
    Hitendra
