Performance issues from creating PHP session

We regularly deal with users reporting slow sites or performance issues when using your plugin. This is due to a PHP session being created on every page load in woocommerce-currency-switcher/classes/storage.php, which causes cache to be busted and not work.

Can you improve the plugin to consider performance and perhaps use transients instead? We typically end up having users switch to WooPayments for multi-currency features, which don’t break caching.
