Failed 6.8.1 update

    I am at a loss at what I need to do to get the 6.8.1 update to load I am getting the following error: Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /hermes/walnacweb03/walnacweb03al/b98/moo.iamlocal1101/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 173

    I am not real versed in webpage design and management so any help would be appreciated. I have tried deactivating my plugins and removed the link on one page and still no luck getting it to complete the installation.

    The message sounds more like an access rights problem. It is best to contact your hoster’s support team for clarification.

    As I can see you were having only warning not a error. Can you send screenshot and website url so we can able to check?
