Application security leverages a system of tools, processes, and best practices to manage application-related business risk. In this session, we’ll discuss different application security maturity levels, tooling, capabilities, and the shortcomings of traditional approaches.

Together we’ll take a look at two common application security models: security as a gate and end-to-end security approach. We’ll discuss the benefits of these approaches and the issues you may experience with each.

Finally, we’ll discover a developer-first, community-powered application security model which can help overcome most of the challenges in developing secure applications.
