    There are STILL people who, either through ignorance or disingenuousness, are pretending that Gove's privatisation of our schools under a noxious cloud of Cummings' lies, was not part of the same far-right, anti-democratic project which they're now trying to enact in Government.

    I am not going to welcome Philip Lee to the Liberal Democrats; his statement is entirely about Brexit, and fails to address the deeply illiberal policies on LGBT+ issues and immigration he has championed in the past.

    Corbyn comes through. Insists that no-deal is taken off the table before an election. Say what you like about him, sceptics. He’s just saved this country’s bacon.

    If Labour threw out 21 MPs for a single vote like the Tories just did, we'd have an uproar, a split in the PLP with half of them going off and a media frenzy branding us "Trotskyite Stalinists" for weeks. The Tories get some nice headlines about "Corbyn's EU surrender bill" 🙃

    A leopard doesn’t change its spots. I will continue to be very wary of those involved in education who readily aligned themselves with Gove and Cummings.

    Many of us remember this time only too well. It was a disaster for education in the UK: Gove and Cummings honed their dark arts in education. Now they’re using them to trash the country
